The Yarn
To crochet this crochet blanket square I used Mighty Stitch from Knit Picks.
We Crochet was so nice that they offered us yarn support for this project.
It was a soft yarn to use & I think it will be a great choice for any crochet blanket.

About The Pattern
The Spring Flower crochet blanket square is the perfect way to try the Flower with Stem Stitch. It’s a fun way to crochet flowers.
This blanket square can be combined together with multiple different blanket squares to make a beautiful crochet blanket. Or simply customize it & make a huge version of this square as a standalone blanket.

Materials Needed

- 4 medium yarn, worsted
- 80 % Acrylic, 20 % Superwash Wool
Other Materials Needed
- Needle, find one here (if you don’t already have one)!
Gauge
18 chains per 10 cm / 4 ”.
10 pattern rows per 10 cm / 4”.

- This crochet pattern is written in US terms.
- All measurements given are unblocked.
- Note that measurements are given as exact as possible. But crochet tension & technique might give variations in the result, that changes from person to person.
- Read pattern instructions carefully before beginning to make sure you understand everything. It might save you hours frogging your work & crocheting it again!
- Make a swatch that measure at least 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches using the stitch the gauge is given for. If your swatch matches the gauge, you’re good to go. If the gauge is wrong, you might need to change your hook. Go up in crochet hook size if your stitches are smaller & go down in crochet hook size if your stitches are bigger. *draw up a loop from stitch indicated, yarn over*, repeat 2 times, pull through all loops on hook.

PART 1:
Ch 44 st.
Row 1 (RS): puff in 8th ch from hook, *ch 2, puff in same st*, repeat from *to* 1 time, ch 1, sk 3 st, dc 1 in next st, **ch 1, sk 3 st, puff in next st, *ch 2, puff in same st*, repeat from *to* 1 time, ch 1, sk 3 st, dc 1 in next st**, repeat from **to** until end of row, turn.
Row 2 (WS): ch 6, sk 4 st, **dc 1 in next st, *ch 1, sk 4 st, puff in next st, *ch 2, puff in same st*, repeat from *to* 1 time, ch 1, sk 4 st, ch 1**, repeat from **to** until you have 6 st left, dc 1 in next st, ch 1, sk 4 st, dc 1 in last st, turn.
Row 3: ch 3, sk 1 st, puff in next st, *ch 2, puff in same st*, repeat from *to* 1 time, ch 1, sk 4 st, dc 1 in next st, **ch 1, sk 4 st, puff in next st, *ch 2, puff in same st*, repeat from *to* 1 time, ch 1, sk 4 st, dc 1 in next st**, repeat from **to** until end of row, turn.
Row 4 – 10: Repeat row 2 & 3, ending with a repeating row 2.
Row 11: Ch 3 st, sk 1 st, hdc 1 in next st, *ch 4, sk 4 st, sc 1 in next st, ch 4, sk 4 st, hdc 1 in next st*, repeat from *to* until you have 4 st left, ch 4, sk 4 st, hdc 1 in last st.
Fasten off & cut yarn.
PART 2:
On the chain row, we’re now going to start working in the opposite direction to get a mirrored effect.
Attach yarn as shown in the photo, notice that the yarn tail from when starting part 1 is on the opposite side.
Repeat instructions for row 1-11 from part 1.
Fasten off & cut yarn.
Finishing
Fasten threads & weave in ends.
Block to shape.
