How To Crochet The Shells Crochet Shawl

The Shells Crochet Shawl Pattern is worked from the pointy end upwards, increasing the number of shell stitches for each row you crochet.

The lacy shell stitch featured creates a beautiful delicate stitch pattern with chain spaces (ch 3 sp).

The stitches used are single crochet stitches, double crochet stitches and chains.

Yarn For The Shells Crochet Shawl

The Shells Crochet Shawl shown in this crochet pattern is worked up in a wool and acrylic yarn blend and bulky weight yarn.

However, you can easily swap for any other yarn weight, like baby weight yarn or medium weight yarn.

The other great thing is that it would look amazing in other yarn fibers and types as well, like cotton yarn, merino and nylon blends or maybe a yarn cake.

By following the pattern instructions, you can easily make it in any yarn, just continue repeating until the shawl is your desired size.

The Flirty Lacy Shell Shawl Pattern

The Shell Crochet Shawl is a great crochet shawl for any occasion. It works up easily with a 2 row crochet stitch repeat.

If you want to decorate the shawl even more, try adding an edge of picot stitches or the reverse single crochet.

How Long Does It Take To Crochet That?

How long it takes to crochet something varies depending on your skill & how fast you crochet. But that isn’t a helpful answer is it?

Well, I’ve developed a yarn calculator to help you get the answer to this question.

It will help you calculate exactly how much time you’ll spend crocheting a project.

All you need to know is how much yarn you will use on the project in either meters, yards or skeins. Then crochet your test square & time it.

Calculate how long it takes to crochet that.
