How To Crochet The Striped Apron
The main part of the crochet striped apron is worked back and forth in rows with back loop single crochet stitches and front loop treble crochet stitches, so you have to know how to crochet in the front loop only and in the back loop only.
While crocheting the main part you will create holes in the crocheted fabric, so you can thread the ties into while finishing.
The tie is made working back and forth in rows until desired length.
The best thing about this crochet apron pattern is the fact that thereโs no sewing, as long as you donโt want to get creative and add some large pockets in the front for a more vintage look.
Yarn For The Crochet Apron Pattern
The suggested yarn for this crochet apron pattern is Basic Stitch from Lion Brand Yarn. Itโs an acrylic yarn, and the best thing about it is that the overall weight is light and that it is super easy to wash.
Next, the yarn does have some great color options, going from colorful to more muted.
If you want to substitute yarn, a great choice is cotton yarn with similar thickness.
Crochet A Bakerโs Apron
If you love spending time in the kitchen just as much as you enjoy crocheting, making crochet projects for the kitchen is such a great idea!
If you plan on baking, making your favorite chicken recipe or just boiling eggs, this it a top apron for the task.
Itโs also a great gift to crochet as a Christmas gift to any mommy or family member who spends a lot of time cooking.
Thereโs also the option for you to customize the pattern, maybe youโve got kids that would love this apron. It would be a perfect gift to make it in a child size and gift it to them. Itโs the perfect excuse to then spend some time in the kitchen with them making cupcakes.

How Long Does It Take To Crochet That?
How long it takes to crochet something varies depending on your skill & how fast you crochet. But that isnโt a helpful answer is it?
Well, Iโve developed a yarn calculator to help you get the answer to this question.
It will help you calculate exactly how much time youโll spend crocheting a project.
All you need to know is how much yarn you will use on the project in either meters, yards or skeins. Then crochet your test square & time it.

Techniques Used In The Crochet Pattern
Changing Color With Different Color On Different Rows
When working with different colors on different rows, youโll never finish the last stitch on the last row/round with one color, with the color you where working with.
Do all the steps of the stitch, then leave the last step unworked. Yarn over with the color for the next st & pull yarn through.
Repeat this for every row/round you change colors to make the color changes look beautiful.
