How To Crochet The Easy Crochet Washcloth Pattern

To crochet this washcloth, start by crocheting the foundation single crochet stitch to establish the width.

Then you are going to crochet a variation of the basic crochet stitches, where you work into the front loop only, working the front loop single crochet stitch (FLsc).

After a few rows you will do the puff stitch row, before you crochet the main part in FLsc.

To finish off, work 1 row of puff stitches again, and a few row of FLsc, then weave in ends.

Yarn For The Washcloth Crochet Pattern

To crochet washcloths a good yarn choice is to use cotton yarn, like the one suggested in this crochet pattern.

You can use any weight yarn, but a 3 fine yarn or a 4 medium yarn / worsted-weight yarn is a good choice for a crochet washcloth.

A different type of yarn, like a cotton blend yarn will also work well, as some of them may be even more durable and have great absorbency.

How Long Does It Take To Crochet That?

How long it takes to crochet something varies depending on your skill & how fast you crochet. But that isn’t a helpful answer is it?

Well, I’ve developed a yarn calculator to help you get the answer to this question.

It will help you calculate exactly how much time you’ll spend crocheting a project.

All you need to know is how much yarn you will use on the project in either meters, yards or skeins. Then crochet your test square & time it.
