The half double crochet and chain uneven, is a lace stitch combination I’m sure you’re going to love.
It’s a stitch I’ve used for my designs, such as the Top Down Winter Sweater, Sunshine Daydream Top & Top Down Summer Tee.
The stitch is characterized by having tiny holes, stacked on top of each other, almost zig-zagging.

- Ch 26 st, for a total of 25 stitches per row.
- 16 rows.

Instructions
- Ch a multiple of 2 + 2 for base chain. Base row: Sc 1 in 3rd ch from hook, sc 1 in each ch from previous row.You should now have crocheted an uneven number of single crochet stitches.
- Row 1: Hdc 1 in 1st st (no ch), *ch 1, sk 1 st, hdc 1 in next st*, repeat from *to* until end of row, turn.
- Repeat row 1 until project is desired size.
