The Hexagon Lace is a crochet lace stitch pattern I’m sure you’re going to love.
It’s a stitch I’ve used for the Aprilis Lace Shrug, a spring and summer favorite.
The stitch is named after the hexagons made over this four row repeat.

Materials Needed
To crochet the hexagon lace crochet stitch pattern you can use any crochet hook size and weight yarn. If you’re following a crochet pattern, use the crochet hook and yarn suggested to get the correct gauge.

- This pattern is a stitch multiple of 8 stitches. Add 3 for base chain.
To Make A 15 cm x 15 cm / 6 x 6 inch Square
With the hook & yarn give, I crocheted:
- Ch 27 st, for a total of 26 stitches per row.
- 15 rows.

Instructions
- Ch a multiple of 8 + 3 st. Base row: Sc 1 in 3rd ch from hook, sc 1 in each ch from previous row.*Throughout this stitch: If a stitch on the previous row was a chain, crochet into the chain space instead of the chain.Â
- Row 1: Ch 2 (counts as 1 dc), *dc 1 in next st, ch 6, sk 6 st, dc 1 in next st*, repeat from *to* until you have 1 st left, dc 1 in last st, turn.
- Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as 1 dc), *dc 1 in the next 2 st, ch 4 st, sk 4 st, dc 1 in the next 2 st*, repeat from *to* until you have 1 st left, dc 1 in last st, turn.
- Row 3:Â Ch 2 (counts as 1 dc), *dc 1 in the next 3 st, ch 2 st, sk 2 st, dc 1 in the next 3 st*, repeat from *to* until you have 1 st left, dc 1 in last st, turn.
- Row 4:Â Repeat row 2. Repeat row 1-4 until project is desired size.
