How To Crochet A Flower
This crochet flower is made in the round, starting with a magic ring.
Then round one is made up of 8 puff stitches and chains in the first color.
Changing colors is optional, but in the samples you can see the second color makes up round 2.
The stitches of round 2 is a combination of front loop treble crochet, puff stitches and chains.
Yarn For The Crochet Flower
To crochet flowers you can use any two colors of yarn you have, and these are especially great for leftover yarn and scrap yarn.
If you are crocheting a different crochet pattern and want to use these crochet flowers as embellishments, it’s best to use the same yarn and crochet hook size as the pattern you’re following.
The yarn used on the samples are Basic Stitch by Lion Brand Yarn, a 100% acrylic yarn.
However, you can also use different types of yarn, like cotton yarn, crochet thread or wool yarn.

This easy crochet project is really versatile and you can use it in many ways.
One idea is to make crochet flower bouquets made up of many of these crochet flowers. You can layer crochet flowers into a bouquet and gift it for mother’s day!

The gauge is not important for this crochet pattern.

Round 1 with CA: *Puff st into magic ring, ch 1*, repeat from *to* 7 times, pull magic loop closed, sl st in first puff (=16 st).
Round 2 with CB: Ch 2 (does not count as a st), *puff 1 in next st, ch 1, FLtr 3 in next st*, repeat from *to* 7 times, sl st in first puff (=40 st).
