The Summer Sea Cropped Cardigan is the perfect cardigan for spring and summer.
It has beautiful lace stitch details which works well with any summer outfit.

Fun and fairly quick crochet pattern for the Jasmine Purse. Crochet pattern involves jasmine stitch which makes the pattern interesting, so you don’t fall asleep on the 2nd row but easy enough to complete it while binge watching a movie. The purse is crochet using t-shirt yarn and makes it fast enough for an evening project.
The Back to Basic Tee is a beginner-friendly pattern using basic crochet stitches and constructions to give you a big impact. It is worked flat using 2 pieces of rectangles and some back and front post double crochet in contrasting color to join. Super cute to layer over a loose dress, wear it with shorts, under your overalls or with high waisted jeans. The length is easily adjustable to make a longer tee.
When I think warm-weather crochet, lacy white projects are typically the first things that breeze through the mental open window in my “summer brain”. While they tend to take a little while to complete, these daintier patterns are worth it. As it happens though, the project and pattern I am bringing to you today does provide a little bit of a break from being too time-intensive.
The Dogwood Flower Top is inspired by one of my favorite local spring blooms-the Dogwood Tree! Just like these bright, classic trees add so much beauty to our landscape in spring, this lacy outer layer has been created to be a very pretty, feminine spring or summer top. It is also based on a pattern I previously wrote for the standalone flower design, so this could be a very portable project while you make the flowers individually. The only part that will require the space and concentration of a larger project will be putting the flowers together.
The Cherry Blossom scarf is a light spring scarf. It’s a simple scarf crochet pattern design with airy stitches and puffs eyelet sections. It works up really fast as the main sections are made with treble crochet stitches.

I am so excited to be featured by Joy Of Motion. So much in fact that I knew I had to step outside of my comfort zone for this! I wanted to make it completely my style but also wanted to up my game. For the 1st time EVER I designed a Raglan Style Garment!! I honestly cant believe I didn’t try it sooner.
Do you see those skeins of beautiful gradient yarns and just want to snap them up? The Tidelands Wrap is designed to showcase the gradual color changes in fingering weight gradient yarn. The wrap is versatile as well. You can wear it several different ways. Pair it with both casual and dressy looks. Because it is lightweight, you can wear it as an outer layer when it’s not too chilly. On colder days, double it up and tuck it under a jacket or coat for a stunning and warm neck layer.
With spring fast approaching my thoughts have been turning to warm breezes, the smell of the early blossoms and the sun on my skin… and the adorable summer tops and that come with it. It may still be cold outside (at least it is in my part of the world – Canada) but that doesn’t mean a girl can’t dream about easy, light and airy projects in delicate beautiful yarns!
This lightweight top was a lot of fun to dream up and create. It features a halter neck, a cute eyelet bodice on the front and has nice drape and stretch. It is made with a #1 Super Fine yarn and the majority of it is double crochet, making it a good project for beginners who like a challenge (with the eyelets in particular) or an intermediate crocheter.
Do you love making crochet sweaters but sometimes wish they looked more like knit sweaters? One drawback I saw to crocheting sweaters was that they sometimes ended up too bulky, boxy and heavy! But sweaters are my favorite things to create so I was not going to give up on them. And try as I may, I cannot master that darn purl stitch! Fast forward about 3 years and after lots of trial and error, shelves full of knit and crochet books, online classes and tutorials I learned that you can in fact crochet a beautiful fitted sweater that is figure flattering and looks fantastic!

A few key components of a well fitting sweater are fitted sleeves and sleeve cap shaping and using a fingering or DK weight yarn rather than worsted or bulky. Don’t get me wrong, there is a time and place for worsted weight yarn and you can make a fantastic sweater with it! But if you want something more fitted, fingering weight is the way to go. My Basketweave Pullover was designed with all of these features in mind, resulting in a stunning handmade sweater that is comfortable, functional and looks beautiful!
Introducing the All Hearts Cardi. I chose to name it as such because of the “heart” accent sections and the fact that I know you’ll love making and wearing it! This fun striped crochet pattern and relatively simple cardigan is made with the waistcoat stitch to give it a “knit” look! It is a classic fitted sweater, with a modern-feeling cropped length. The construction method, creating 5 rectangles of varying sizes and then seaming them together, makes this a perfect entry-level cardigan pattern! Another great benefit of this construction style is that it is easily customizable for your preferred fit – if you want it looser you can size up, or adjust the sizes of individual panels as you work through the pattern. It is super cozy and warm, and the fitted style makes it not feel overly bulky.
As Spring approaches I’m settling into a new year and the days are getting longer. With the newness of a new year and Spring right around the corner I’m usually bursting with new ideas and new inspirations. Spring time is a season of new beginnings. The New Beginnings Cardigan was one of my inspirations for the days getting longer and warmer.
