Materials Needed

Zig Zag Puff Stitch Written Tutorial
Puff: In stitch or space indicated: *yarn over, pull up a loop*, repeat from *to* 2 more times, you have 7 loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through all.
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook, work puff in ch before dc just made, *sk 1 ch, dc 1 in next st, puff 1 in sk ch, ch 1*, repeat from *to* until you have 1 st left, dc 1 in last st, turn.
Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as 1st st), sk 1st st, dc 1 in ch from previous row, puff in space between last puff and dc from previous row, ch 1, *skip dc and space between puffs, dc in next ch from previous row, puff in space between puffs*, repeat from *to* until you have 1 st left, dc 1 in last st, turn.
Repeat row 2 of the Zig Zag Puff Stitch until your project reaches desired length.

Puff Tutorial
- Yarn over.
- Pull up a loop.
- Yarn over.
- Pull up a loop.
- Yarn over and pull up a third loop.
- Yarn over and pull through all loops on hook. The puff is now finished. Repeat steps under "puff" heading to crochet more puff stitches.
Row 1 Continued
- Chain 1.
- Skip 1 st, double crochet in next st.
- Second puff and chain finished. Repeat: skip 1 stitch, double crochet in next st, puff in skipped stitch until you have 1 stitch left.
- Double crochet in last stitch. This is how row 1 looks finished.
Row 2
- Chain 2.
- Double crochet in chain from previous row.
- Puff in space between double crochet and puff from previous row.
- Chain 1.
- Double crochet in next chain from previous row.
- Puff in space between double crochet and puff from previous row, then chain 1. Repeat: *skip dc and space between puffs, dc in next ch from previous row, puff in space between puff* until you have 1 stitch left.
- Double crochet in last stitch. This is how row 2 looks finished.
