How To Use The Women’s Garment Size Calculator For Knitters And Crocheters

The women’s garment size calculator for knitters and crocheters will help you to get the correct size for your crochet garment based on gauge & measurements.

Input:

  1. Start by choosing the fit you want. The wider fit you choose, the more ease your garment will have.
  2. Select input, cm or inches.
  3. Make a test square. Insert the stitches & rows together with the measurements for each.

Output:

You’ll then automatically get the suggested number of stitches for the sizes needed to make size XS-5XL for:

  • Around the bust
  • Waist
  • Hips
  • Upper arm
  • Armhole

The measurements given below the number of stitches tells you how wide your garment will measure.

Each measurement is given in as min & max, aim to fit your stitch number somewhere between min & max.

If you’re making something for yourself. Check your own measurements & compare them with the measurements given below the stitch number.

Note that the option “oversized” are based on 15 cm more than the min/max number of stitches for the very-close fit & additional stitches can be added to achieve a more oversized look.

Finally, you’ll also get gauge as an output.

*Sizes are based on the standard body measurements from Craft Yarn Council.
