This Beginner Crochet Hat pattern is great for new crocheters. It requires a couple of basic crochet stitches, as well as seaming, and closing the top of crochet beanie with a yarn needle.

The pattern uses worsted weight yarn, but you can swap that for any yarn following the instructions in the pattern.

You crochet the rectangle back and forth in rows, then you will seam using the whip stitch and close the top of the hat as shown in the linked tutorial.

The stitches used are beginner friendly, as you’ll only use chains, single crochet stitches and double crochet stitches.
