Hi everyone! My name is Amanda Saladin and I blog at Love.Life.Yarn, where I share free knit and crochet patterns for the whole family. Today, I’m here on the Joy of Motion Crochet blog to introduce myself and share some free patterns you might be interested in.
ABOUT AMANDA:
I began designing in college, where I majored in fashion design at Middle Tennessee State University. I had to learn to knit while in college, but it didn’t really take off until four years later, when a friend asked me to teach her to knit while our husbands were deployed with the US Army. I got really into knitting, then learned to crochet, and finally combined my love of design and my love of yarn in 2011. I began publishing knit and crochet patterns in magazines in 2011 and have never looked back. I started my blog in 2012 and got serious about it in 2016. I love designing and sharing FREE knit and crochet patterns!
When I’m not designing, you can find me hanging out with my four little boys (under age 10!) and my hubby, or teaching high school nutrition and child development, which is my day job. It’s a busy life, but I wouldn’t change it for anything!
ABOUT THE DESIGNS AT LOVE.LIFE.Yarn
While I love to design for the whole family, I find myself returning to baby makes again and again. In fact, most of the patterns I am featuring here today are baby makes! I love to design baby blankets, booties, and tiny garments. My baby bat set and the baby butterfly costume I designed for the Hook Nook Life are really popular as well.
I also like the challenge of designing for my older boys and for myself and occasionally I step outside my norm and create amigurumi, bags and more! I’d also love to make my husband a sweater… if only he would wear it! 😉
