The Mittens Crochet Pattern
These crochet mittens are worked from the wrist ribbing and outwards towards the fingers. Finally the thumb is crocheted directly onto the finished mittens.
The crochet mittens are mostly crocheted with beginner friendly basic crochet stitches.
5 mm crochet hook / US: H - 8 1 colors of 4 medium yarn Scissors Tapestry Needle Tape Measure
You Will need
Gather materials and test gauge. Gather the materials you need to crochet the shrug. Then test the gauge to see if your yarn and crochet hook matches the given gauge.
Crochet Ribbing. When you start to crochet, start crocheting the ribbing around the wrists. Worked in rounds for 6 rounds total
Crochet Up To Thumb Opening. After the ribbing is finished, increase stitches until you have the width needed around the thumb and create the thumb opening.
Thumb to Pointy End. Then work evenly for a few rounds to crochet the part around the 4 smallest fingers. When you reach the end you will decrease to close the top.
Crochet Thumb. Finally crochet the thumb directly onto the almost finished crochet mitten. Final step is to make another mitten the same way.
