The Crochet Coasters

These crochet coaster are crocheted with cotton yarn and can be made quickly as a gift or to keep your surface free from coffee spills.

Crab Stitch!

Make these crochet coasters with the crab stitch edging.  Opt for a contrasting color or use the same!

6 mm crochet hook / US: J - 10 <1 skein of color A <1 skein of color B Scissors Tapestry Needle Tape Measure

You Will need

Step 1

Gather materials and test gauge.  Gather the materials you need to crochet the coasters. Then crochet a swatch to see if your gauge matches. No need to match perfectly!

Step 2

Crochet the main square.  Start by crocheting the main square of the crochet coaster. Work back and forth in rows.

Step 3

Crochet the edging.  Then crochet the edging using the crab stitch. Pick a contrasting yarn color for a pop of color or use the same for a subtle look.

Step 4

Finish & weave in ends.  To finish your crochet coasters, weave in any yarn ends on the wrong side of your work.
